Biography
Art has been my lifelong passion. The impulse to record my observations, as closely as possible, stems from a childhood of limited vision. Myopia, astigmatism, crossed and alternate vision--have all impacted the way I see. Isolating my interests through a camera lens, I translate them methodically with oil paint. This is a meditative process. I build each new series as I delve into the elements of its design.
Born in BC, I studied at Emily Carr University of Art and Design and completed my MFA at Concordia University in 1996. Since 2003 I have focused on my painting practice full time.
